American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with Level IV NICU experience for a night shift position at a Magnet teaching hospital, requiring willingness to also cover adult floor and ICU units.

Work in the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics department covering Level IV NICU, adult floor, and ICU areas

Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
-
Weekend shifts required as needed by the unit

Floating within the hospital required
-
No floating to sister hospitals
-
Uses Epic charting system
-
No on-call requirements
-
637 staffed bed short-term acute care facility
-
critical care or NICU (Level 3/4) experience
-
Teaching hospital experience required
-
LTAC and Trauma Level I experience preferred
-
Current certifications: RRT, BLS, NRP required; ACLS and PALS preferred
-
Washington State Respiratory license required (license required if applicable)

Epic charting experience preferred but not required
-
Experience with NICU equipment including Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, ECMO, high frequency jet ventilator, and oscillating ventilator

Skilled in ventilator management, airway management, ABG interpretation, and pulmonary hygiene

Servo U experience
-
Provide respiratory therapy services across NICU, adult critical care, and emergency department settings
-
Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal inter-departmental transports
-
Perform medication delivery via aerosol setups, MDIs, and nebulizers
-
Manage patients with conditions such as ARDS, aspiration, bronchoscopy, COVID, cystic fibrosis, and fresh tracheostomy

Scrubs of any color accepted; scrubs provided for OR personnel

First-time travelers accepted

Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate

No radius restriction for local candidates

RTO limited to a maximum of 1 week and cannot be requested during the first 2 weeks of the assignment

Prior UW Medical Center staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler

COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
