Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing friendly, attentive service
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety practices
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions
- Assist with food preparation and serving, ensuring quality standards are met at all times
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
- Uphold health and safety regulations related to food safety, food handling, and sanitation standards
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail math tasks
- Experience in food industry roles involving serving, food preparation, or retail sales is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism
