Ambient Recruiting is partnering with a manufacturing company in Gaylord to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Sanitation Manager. In this role, you'll oversee sanitation operations, lead a sanitation team, and help ensure the facility maintains high standards for food safety, cleanliness, quality, and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Sanitation Manager, you'll:
- Oversee daily sanitation operations and sanitation staff
- Schedule team members to ensure appropriate coverage
- Conduct sanitation audits to verify cleaning effectiveness and production readiness
- Ensure employees follow safety procedures and proper PPE requirements
- Monitor chemical usage, concentrations, and sanitation process temperatures
- Verify ATP and allergen swab testing is completed and meets required standards
- Develop, maintain, and update the Master Sanitation Schedule
- Complete daily sanitation reports and required documentation
- Support QA and Production teams with cleaning procedures and production changeovers
- Maintain sanitation tools, equipment, and supplies
- Assist with developing and improving cleaning procedures and sanitation programs
- Identify and report sanitation or quality concerns to QA and leadership
- Train, coach, and support sanitation employees
- Assist with troubleshooting sanitation and QA-related issues
- Perform additional duties as assigned by QA or Operations leadership
What We're Looking For
Successful candidates typically have:
- Previous sanitation, QA, or food manufacturing leadership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of sanitation procedures, food safety, and GMPs
- Ability to effectively manage and schedule a team
- Knowledge of chemical handling, concentrations, and cleaning procedures
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with QA, Production, and Operations teams
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to train, coach, and support employees
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ATP testing
- Familiarity with allergen control practices
- Previous CIP experience
- Experience developing or maintaining sanitation programs
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- Food manufacturing experience

What to Expect
This is a hands-on leadership position in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment where cleanliness, food safety, and compliance are critical.
You'll work in production areas that may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, wet environments, temperature changes, and physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting.
The ideal candidate is an accountable and organized leader who pays close attention to detail and leads by example. You'll need to be comfortable supervising employees, addressing sanitation concerns, following strict procedures, and maintaining high standards throughout the facility.
