We are a food manufacturing company in Los Angeles, CA that specializes in the production and packing of Asian Foods like Egg rolls, wontons, Fortune cookies, etc. currently looking for a Quality Control Assurance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily operation inspections consisting of monitoring process, testing product,
sanitation verification, label checks, packaging verifications, allergen testing, and ATP
testing. Includes performing microbiological and environmental testing.
- Maintain accurate and organized records Calibrate test equipment.
- Notify and consult with QA Manager on any deficiencies. If adjustments are necessary,
work with the appropriate line operator or shift production team member. Any serious or
critical deficiencies notify Plant Manager or Operations Manager.
- Daily, conduct pre-operation sanitation inspections and observe sanitation crew for
efficiency in dispensing solutions.
- Monitor and observe plant workers are in compliance with Good Manufacturing
Practices, food safety, job hazard analyst and other support areas to ensure work
environment is safe, clean and productive.
- Prepares CofA for customers
- Ensures all non-conforming products are placed on hold and fully documented.
- Investigates customer complaints as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Work standing or walking for most working shift
- Perform very physical duties, including but not limited to pushing, pulling, lifting,
twisting and walking
- Work in a production area with fast moving equipment, moderate to high noise levels and
temperature changes; work in laboratory environment with instruments and chemicals; be
on feet for entire shift.
- 1+ years of experience in food manufacturing Quality Control
- Knowledge of HACCP standards and GMP practices
- Must have good math skills to calculate percentages and prepare reports
- Proficient in the use of MS Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills/ Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Schedule & Pay:
Starting Pay: $24 HR DOE
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Shift: 1st / 7:00AM-3:30PM (Overtime Required)
