Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Double-Reach OPR (Operator) for our warehouse operations. This role is essential for efficiently managing inventory movement, order picking, and material handling using specialized equipment such as reach trucks and Sir-down forklifts. The ideal candidate will possess extensive warehouse experience, including warehouse management system proficiency and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will ensure smooth distribution processes, accurate inventory control, and seamless shipping and receiving operations. Duties
- Safely operate a double-reach OPR to pull, move, and place inventory
- Maneuver equipment through tight aisles and around back-to-back rack systems
- Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Pull products from various rack locations
- Stock and replenish inventory
- Sort and organize warehouse products
- Prepare completed orders for shipment
- Verify products and quantities before shipping
- Build and palletize orders and loads
- Wrap, stage, and organize pallets for shipment
- Load and unload trucks and shipments
- Move materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
- Follow warehouse safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines
- Perform other general warehouse duties as needed
Skills
- Previous warehouse experience required
- Double-reach OPR experience required
- Must be highly experienced and confident operating a reach truck in tight spaces
- Ability to accurately position the OPR in narrow aisles and work around back-to-back racks
- Experience with order picking, stocking, sorting, palletizing, loading, and unloading
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle warehouse products
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must follow all warehouse safety procedures
This role is for someone who is already comfortable operating a double-reach OPR. This is not an ideal position for someone who is new to reach equipment. Because of the tight warehouse layout and back-to-back racks, the operator must be able to maneuver smoothly, patiently, and safely without damaging racks, pallets, or product.
