Responsibilities
- Identifying electrical problem areas on-site that need replacement or repair.
- Installing, repairing and/or replacing wiring when necessary.
- Installing and bending conduit.
- Adhering to state and local safety and building code regulations.
- Troubleshooting and ensuring that the electrical system is working properly before leaving client location.
- Operating varied hand and power tools, maintain and store tools and equipment properly[BW1] .
- Performing other related duties as required.
Required Skills / Qualifications
- Completion of an electrician program at a vocational school or an electrician apprenticeship.
- Current electrician license
- 2+ years of electrician experience preferred.
- Proficient with standard industry tools and techniques.
- Read and understand blueprints and schematic drawings.
- Valid CA Driver License with clean driving record.
- Operate a motor vehicle and visit various city sites.
- Excellent communication skills: effectively convey information and use problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented: Able to work as a team and follow directions closely with a view to delivering the best possible standard of safety and quality work.
- Professional: Maintain professional demeanor when interacting with co-workers, supervisors and managers.
- Reliable: Complete quality work assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
Physical / Environmental Elements:
Possess ability to:
- Move between/within work areas, including, but not limited to sitting, standing, and walking on various surfaces, turning, bending, grasping, and making repetitive hand movements
- Be exposed to unpredictable working conditions including, but not limited to loud noise levels, cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, road hazards, vibration, confining workspace, chemicals, mechanical and/or electrical hazards, hazardous physical substances, fumes, dust, and air contaminants.
In Field:
- Maintain strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium to heavy physical work
- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects averaging a weight of 50 pounds, or heavier weights, in all cases with the use of proper equipment
- Identify problems or hazards, work in confined spaces and around machines, and climb/descend ladders
Salary and Benefits:
· Salary Structure:
· 40 hours Paid Time Off (PTO) per year, earned after 1st year of employment with Imperial Electric. 80 hours PTO after 5 years

· Option for reimbursement of cost for qualifying journeyman training schools, upon approval.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
