Corpus Christi Eye Professionals is seeking a friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our growing practice. If you're passionate about helping patients and enjoy working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Welcome and prepare patients for their eye examinations.
- Obtain patient medical histories and document information accurately.
- Perform preliminary testing, including visual acuity, auto-refraction, tonometry, retinal imaging, and other diagnostic testing as needed.
- Assist the doctor during patient examinations and procedures.
- Educate patients on eyewear, contact lenses, and treatment recommendations.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms and equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive patient experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, or medical office is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records are a plus.
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
