Caregiver / Care Partner (Part-Time, In-Home) – Supporting Veterans

We are seeking a compassionate Care Partner to provide dedicated, one-on-one, in-home care for an esteemed Veteran client. Expected Daily Care Duties:
Following a structured, VA-approved care plan, you will assist the Veteran with:
- Personal Care: Providing dignified assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting/incontinence care.
- Mobility Support: Assisting with safe transfers (e.g., from bed to chair) and helping prevent fall risks around the home.
- Meal Preparation: Preparing fresh, nutritious meals according to dietary needs.
- Light Housekeeping: Keeping the Veteran’s immediate environment clean and safe (laundry, changing linens, washing dishes, and keeping walkways clear).
- Medication Reminders: Providing verbal/visual reminders to take scheduled, pre-poured medications and observe to confirm the medication is successfully administered.
- Companionship: Engaging in meaningful conversation and activities to support their well-being.
What is NOT Required:
To keep our caregivers and clients safe and compliant with VA guidelines, this role strictly excludes the following:
- NO Transportation: You will not be driving or transporting the client anywhere.
- NO Grocery Shopping: You will not leave the premises for errands or shopping; all ingredients are provided in the home.
- NO Medication Administration: You will only provide passive reminders. You will not physically handle pills or manage pill organizers, You will not calculate dosages, fill pill minders, or physically administer medications

Job Requirements:
- Compassionate, reliable, and respectful of veterans.
- Ability to follow a structured care plan independently.
- Must be able to register with the California Home Care Aide Registry, which includes a fingerprint background clearance (Live Scan) through the Department of Social Services.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
