Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted
- Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktails and spirits, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items and suggest wine pairings or specialty drinks to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while handling cash handling responsibilities with accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced environment; fine dining experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and alcohol safety regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle guest relations professionally
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while multitasking between serving, cashiering, and cleaning duties
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and handling cash confidently
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain training; experience in sanitation and food handling preferred
- Hospitality mindset with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences through attentive service
