Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Equipment and Drivers Management professional to oversee the efficient operation of our transportation fleet and equipment assets. In this role, you will coordinate driver schedules, manage vehicle maintenance, optimize logistics processes, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Duties
- Manage vehicle maintenance programs, including inspections, repairs, and preventive servicing to maximize fleet uptime.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to source transportation services, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by integrating inventory management systems with transportation planning for seamless order fulfillment.
- Lead process improvement initiatives in supply chain management, materials handling, and freight operations to enhance overall efficiency.
- Conduct regular analysis of pricing strategies, demand planning forecasts, and supply chain analytics to inform procurement decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on category management, shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory control measures.
Experience
- Hands-on experience with inventory management techniques like MRP (Material Requirements Planning), demand planning, and stock control.
- Demonstrated ability in data analysis skills utilizing Spreadsheets for process optimization insights.
- Familiarity with warehouse experience involving materials handling equipment such as heavy duty equipment and mechanical knowledge of vehicle operations.
- Excellent negotiation skills for vendor management and contract negotiations within a logistics context.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets for root cause analysis and continuous process improvement initiatives.
