Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Dishwasher/Food Prep team member to join our dynamic culinary environment. Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning foods for meal service.
- Follow established safety procedures during all food handling and cleaning activities to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
- Support the kitchen team by preparing ingredients for menu items, including basic cooking and food assembly as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, storage areas, and dishwashing stations throughout shifts.
- Help with meal prep activities for catering or special events as needed, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Adhere to all food industry regulations related to hygiene, safety standards in production, and proper food handling techniques.
Skills
- Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking techniques including slicing methods such as knife skills and slicing techniques.
- Familiarity with restaurant or kitchen environments, including food service operations and catering support.
- Ability to follow safety standards in production environments diligently.
- Excellent food industry knowledge with a focus on culinary experience and kitchen operations.
- Effective communication skills for working collaboratively within a team dedicated to serving quality meals.
