Position Summary
The Medical Equipment Delivery Driver supports Entrusted Hearts Medical Equipment, a division of Baptist Village Communities, by delivering and setting up medical equipment in clients’ homes in a safe, timely, and professional manner. This role plays an important part in ensuring clients receive the equipment they need to remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. The Delivery Driver represents Entrusted Hearts and Baptist Village Communities through dependable service, attention to detail, and respectful interactions with clients and families. General Responsibilities
- Deliver medical equipment to clients’ homes promptly and professionally.
- Set up and ensure proper placement of equipment according to provided instructions.
- Educate clients and caregivers on the basic use of delivered equipment as directed.
- Inspect equipment prior to delivery to ensure it is clean, functional, and ready for use.
- Safely load, unload, and transport medical equipment.
- Complete required delivery documentation accurately and promptly.
- Communicate effectively with office staff regarding deliveries, pickups, and scheduling.
- Maintain delivery vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Follow all safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Provide courteous, respectful service to clients and families.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support daily operations.
Qualifications
- Experience delivering medical equipment preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to pass an OSBI background check.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and dependable.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely lift and move equipment as required.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move medical equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to safely operate a delivery vehicle in various conditions.
- Ability to perform duties in both indoor and outdoor environments.
