Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to promote holistic childhood development.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior management and supports children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Engage children in hands-on activities that enhance cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills while fostering a love for learning.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently to ensure smooth transitions between activities and maintain an organized learning space conducive to exploration and discovery.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any behavioral or developmental concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that align with educational standards and incorporate standardized testing where appropriate to assess developmental progress.
- Support child welfare by ensuring proper supervision daycare activities and maintaining adherence to childcare regulations and safety protocols.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in preschool or early childhood education settings is essential, including work with toddlers or young children in daycare or private school environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, literacy education methods, and Montessori educational practices.
- Experience working with children requiring special education support or early intervention services is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and children alike.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education activities, tutoring techniques, standardized testing procedures, and math instruction at the preschool level is advantageous.
