Mercato Bar & Kitchen is looking for a Cocktail Bartender to join their team!
Mercato Bar & Kitchen is a small family owned restaurant serving Italian inspired fare. The menu changes seasonally, highlighting fresh and unique flavors throughout the year.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Focus on providing guests with a positive and hospitable experience from the second they walk into the restaurant. You are the guest's first (& last) impression of the restaurant!
- Greet and thank each guest entering and leaving the restaurant.
- Efficiently seat the restaurant. Seat guests at a suitable table for their party size and remove extra place settings.
- Accurately quoting guests wait times and managing a wait list.
- Effectively communicate to guests as well as team mates!
- Maintain the high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service.
- Demonstrate knowledge of menu items, service procedures, table settings and service ware.
- Demonstrate knowledge of restaurant opening hours, history and ownership structure
- Demonstrate an eagerness to continue to learn and grow.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous restaurant experience preferred but no experience is required if you have an enthusiasm to learn and ambition to grow
- Must be able to work standing or walking for 4-6 hours at a time
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Professional demeanor with the ability to exceed guest's expectations
WHAT WE OFFER YOU:
- Consistent scheduling from Tuesday to Saturday. The restaurant will be closed Sunday and Monday. Shifts are 4:45pm-9:15pm.
