Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Mill and Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC milling machines and lathes to produce precision aerospace and high-tech commercial components from various materials. Your expertise in machining, tools, blueprint reading, and offsetting will ensure that parts meet strict quality standards and specifications. Responsibilities
- Set up CNC milling machines and lathes, including installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to technical drawings and specifications
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to determine machining requirements
- Operate manual machining tools when necessary for secondary ops like tapping
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measurement instruments to ensure parts meet quality standards
- Inspect finished parts for defects using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles and quality control measurement techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles
Skills
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation
- Experience with precision deburring using buff and blend wheels
- Ability to perform precision measurement using calipers, micrometers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments for quality inspection
- Familiarity with CNC setup procedures,
- Understanding of GD&T standards for accurate measurement and quality assurance in manufacturing
- Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, feeds & speeds
- Experience working with more than one machine at a time while maintaining tolerances and quality standards

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
