This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects across manufacturing, product development, and system design. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, hands-on experience with CAD software, and a passion for solving complex engineering challenges through creative and precise solutions. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively across departments to bring innovative ideas from concept to reality, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering high-quality mechanical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed mechanical designs using 3D CAD modeling software such as SolidWorks and Creo, including creating mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Conduct tolerance analysis and mechanical detail drawings to ensure precision and manufacturability of components and assemblies.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulation techniques to validate designs under various operational conditions.
- Lead mechanical product development projects from initial concept through prototyping, testing, and final production.
- Utilize manufacturing knowledge to optimize machine design, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards aligned with ASME codes & standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, systems engineers, and manufacturing personnel to integrate mechanical systems into larger projects.
- Apply root cause analysis techniques to troubleshoot mechanical issues during testing or production phases, implementing corrective actions promptly.
- Manage project scheduling and coordinate tasks effectively to meet project milestones within budget constraints.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools for 3D modeling and drafting.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), tolerance analysis, and mechanical detail drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, fabrication techniques, and assembly methods.
- Familiarity with engineering product development lifecycle from concept through validation testing.
- Ability to perform structural analysis using FEA in SolidWorks.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills for effective collaboration across engineering disciplines and manufacturing teams.
- Practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with hands-on experience in machine design or mechanical system integration is highly desirable.
Join us in shaping the future of innovative mechanical solutions! We are committed to fostering a collaborative environment where your expertise can thrive while contributing meaningful advancements in engineering technology.
