We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dealership accounting team. The ideal candidate will have prior accounts payable experience, a strong understanding of dealership accounting processes, and hands-on experience with CDK DMS. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
- Maintain AP schedules and ensure all invoices are properly recorded.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and account reconciliations.
- Communicate professionally with vendors regarding payment inquiries.
- Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Work closely with department managers and accounting staff to resolve invoice issues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable experience.
- CDK DMS experience is required.
- Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multi-company accounting in CDK is preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a multi-franchise or multi-store dealership environment.
- Knowledge of dealership accounting schedules and intercompany transactions.
