If you’re an electrical designer looking to step into a role where the work is steady, the projects are real, and you’re not starting from scratch, this is worth a look.
This team has an established water and wastewater practice with consistent municipal work across the Southeast, with a heavy concentration in North Carolina. The electrical function is already active on projects, and this hire is focused on strengthening production and design capability.
You’ll be working directly under an electrical engineering leader with 15+ years of experience across utilities, power systems, industrial, and water infrastructure. He has led electrical teams and supported complex design efforts across multiple sectors.
You’ll support engineers by developing full electrical design packages from the ground up, including layouts, calculations, and construction-ready drawings.
- Develop complete electrical design drawings for water and wastewater projects
- Perform equipment sizing and electrical calculations
- Build out full design packages for engineer review
- Produce Revit-based electrical layouts and drawings
- Work closely with engineers to support project delivery
- 4 to 6+ years of electrical design experience
- Strong Revit capability, this is a key need
- Experience putting together full design packages, not just drafting
- Comfortable working alongside engineers in a production environment
AutoCAD is expected. Exposure to SKM or ETAP is helpful but not required.
- Established municipal workload across North Carolina and the Southeast
- Direct exposure to an experienced electrical leader
- Consistent project flow, not chasing work
- Opportunity to expand into I&C work over time
- Clear path to grow within the team as electrical capability continues to expand
No PE required. Backgrounds in electrical engineering or related technical disciplines are all relevant.
