Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring proper debits and credits in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations regularly to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conduct account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors.
- Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and preparing financial reports for management review.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role, with familiarity using accounting software such as QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or comparable systems.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping and financial concepts such as debits & credits.
- Experience with non-profit accounting practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of GAAP standards and general ledger accounting procedures.
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliation, and account analysis accurately.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and report writing.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and prepare clear financial reports.

Pay: $27.04 - $32.56 per hour
