We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Permanent Infection Prevention Manager - Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute your skills and knowledge in a critical area of healthcare that directly impacts patient safety and the quality of care. As an Infection Prevention Manager, you will play a pivotal role in preventing and controlling the spread of infectious diseases within our healthcare facility. You will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring infection control policies and procedures that ensure a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and manage infection prevention and control programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential areas of infection and implement appropriate control measures.

Educate and train healthcare staff in infection control procedures and protocols.

Conduct surveillance and compile infection data for the purpose of reporting, analysis, and trending.

Collaborate with department heads and staff to ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures.

Participate in the investigation of outbreaks or unusual clusters of infections.

Stay updated with the latest research and developments in the field of infection control and epidemiology and incorporate this knowledge into our infection control strategies.

Act as a resource and advisor on infection control issues for all staff, patients, and families.
Qualifications:

Must be a Registered Nurse with a valid license.

Must have one of the following: 1) a minimum of 2 years of experience in infection control and prevention in a healthcare setting OR 2) at least 2 years of Acute Care Nursing experience.

Must have one of the following: 1) Health Care Professional with a Master's in Public Health or 2) An RN with a BSN (or MSN) with at least 2 years of experience in Acute Care Nursing (or) 1-2 years in an Infection Prevention role.
- Knowledge of infection control principles, practices, and standards.

Strong understanding of epidemiology and infectious diseases.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Ability to educate and train staff in a clear and effective manner.

Proficient in data analysis and reporting.

Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive infection control programs.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask.
