About the Role
Greenland Energy Company is looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant to support its accounting, financial reporting, consolidation, and SEC reporting activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with public company exposure, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, and experience supporting close, audit, and financial reporting processes.
The successful candidate will work closely with finance leadership and external advisors to support quarterly and annual reporting, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, consolidated financial statements, audit schedules, and accounting documentation.
What You Will Do
· Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
· Assist with preparation of consolidated financial statements and reporting packages.
· Support intercompany accounting, consolidation entries, and eliminations.
· Prepare schedules and disclosure support for Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
· Assist with audit and quarterly review requests from external auditors.
· Maintain accurate accounting records and strong supporting documentation.
· Support accounting process improvements, internal controls, and ad hoc finance projects.
What We Are Looking For
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
· Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge.
· Experience with financial reporting, close processes, and account reconciliations.
· Exposure to SEC reporting, including 10-Q and 10-K support.
· Experience with consolidations and intercompany accounting.
· Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a lean team environment.
Preferred Background
· CPA or CPA candidate.
· Public accounting experience or experience in a public company finance team.
· Experience in energy, natural resources, exploration, small-cap public companies, or SPAC/de-SPAC environments.
· Exposure to SOX/ICFR, SEC reporting tools, ERP systems, or consolidation tools.
