Shipping & Receiving Associate – 2nd Shift (Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM)
Job Overview
Polymer Molding Inc. is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our 2nd Shift team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring customer orders are shipped accurately and on time while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting warehouse operations within our manufacturing facility.
Alongside core shipping and receiving duties, this position will be cross trained to support the Inventory Support Technician by assisting with inventory control, warehouse management systems, troubleshooting inventory discrepancies, and continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable using IQMS and other computer systems, enjoys solving problems, and is eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Prepare, package, label, and ship customer orders accurately and on schedule.
- Generate shipping paperwork, shipping labels, and Bills of Lading.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory using IQMS, RF scanners, barcode scanners, and warehouse management systems.
- Perform inventory transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Assist with root cause analysis to identify inventory or warehouse process issues.
- Help implement inventory and warehouse process improvements.
- Stage finished goods and organized incoming materials for efficient warehouse flow.
- Supply production with materials as needed.
- Work closely with Purchasing, Production, Quality, Customer Service, and warehouse personnel to ensure efficient material movement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of shipments, inventory adjustments, and warehouse activities.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and Polymer Molding Inc. safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, or manufacturing.
- Forklift experience required; certification preferred.
- Experience with IQMS, ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or RF scanners is highly preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to perform accurate inventory transactions and identify inventory discrepancies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Box truck driving experience is a plus.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
