Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling menu items like wines and cocktails
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Assist with food preparation, food safety protocols, and proper food handling to ensure quality and compliance
- Clear tables, bussing dishes promptly to maintain a clean dining area and guest satisfaction
- Engage with guests to enhance their experience through knowledgeable recommendations on spirits, wine pairings, and menu items
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash safely
- Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, cocktails, wine, and drink presentation techniques
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain training upon hire
- Experience with upselling techniques to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
