We are looking for a CMM Specialist to join our team in Tecumseh, MI. This role focuses on the programming and operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines, alongside dimensional validation, calibration, PPAP submissions, and ongoing quality improvement efforts. We are seeking individuals who possess a deep understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, CMM programming, and automotive quality standards. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our products consistently align with customer requirements and quality benchmarks, while also providing essential support for new product launches and daily manufacturing activities.
Primary Duties-
Develop and execute Direct Computer Control (D.C.C.) programming for various parts and fixtures.

Ensure the accuracy of new fixtures and measuring tools through precise calibration.

Help maintain organized facility records by labeling new fixtures and assigning them to specific locations.

Manage a current and accurate inventory database for all measurement fixtures.

Facilitate workspace efficiency by relocating outdated fixtures and instruments to storage.

Collaborate in design reviews to offer valuable feedback and improvements for new fixtures.

Partner with the Quality Specialist to synthesize CMM data into standard AIAG reporting formats.

Assist in meeting GP6 requirements by preparing parts and finalizing all necessary documentation.

Generate layouts for PPAP, customer-specific requests, or internal process enhancements.

Execute annual dimensional layouts in strict accordance with established protocols.

Conduct statistical and capability analysis to ensure process stability.

Serve as an active contributor to the internal audit process.

Provide operational assistance for laboratory functions.

Offer support to fellow team members to ensure collective success.

Handle additional responsibilities as directed by leadership.

Required Qualifications-
Proven background in the operation and programming of CMM equipment.

Comprehensive grasp of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.

Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting complex engineering blueprints and drawings.

Expertise in calibrating precision measuring tools and fixtures.

Practical experience within automotive manufacturing and quality management frameworks.

Familiarity with welding and stamping production environments is considered an asset.
Skills-
Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 quality management systems.
