Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys precision sewing, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and understands the sentimental value behind every project. The Seamstress will carefully construct custom keepsakes from customer-provided clothing while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and care.
Responsibilities
- Sew custom memory bears, pillows, quilts, and other keepsakes using customer-supplied garments
- Must be able to operate industrial sewing machine
- Cut, prepare, and stabilize fabrics while preserving meaningful features such as buttons, pockets, collars, embroidery, and logos whenever possible
- Operate primarily industrial AND domestic sewing machines safely and efficiently
- Inspect completed products to ensure exceptional quality and durability
- Handle customers' sentimental items with professionalism, care, and respect
- Assist with fabric preparation, stuffing, finishing, pressing, and packaging as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in garment sewing, seam construction, and fabric handling within a manufacturing or warehouse setting
- Creative problem-solving skills for working with a variety of fabric types
- Strong knowledge of sewing machine operation and garment construction techniques
- Ability to perform manual cutting of fabrics with accuracy and attention to detail
- Familiarity with quality standards in production and safety protocols in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent manual dexterity combined with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship
- Prior experience working in a warehouse or production facility is preferred but not mandatory
