FWCA has an immediate opening for WIOA In School Youth (ISY) & Out of School Youth (OSY) Programs – Job Coach for the Missouri Job Center.
POSITION SUMMARY
Create and assist with employer engagement strategies and facilitate career pathway opportunities in collaboration with the case manager. Serve as the liaison with industry sectors to determine industry workforce trends and opportunities to maximize program performance. Provide resources support via scheduling hiring/job/career fairs, keeping updated on regional labor market data. Coordinate applicant screening, employer testing, pertinent services to the business community, and outreach to employers in designated career pathways.
JOB FUNCTIONS
· Demonstrated ability to understand and assess individual employment needs.
· Assist individuals in developing an Individual Employment Plan (IEP) with realistic educational/training and career goals.
· Interpret assessment results and assist individuals in selecting a career pathway based on labor market data.
· Coordinate with case manager to identify and refer individuals for pre-employment training, educational development, skill-based training or immediate job placement, as appropriate and agreed upon IEP goals.
· Coordinate with additional staff and designated partners to ensure an individual has access to tools and resources designed to achieve goals and program outcomes.
· Maintain weekly/monthly contact with an individual to ensure progress toward established goals, refer individuals to supportive services, as appropriate, and document all contacts, services, and program information in MoJobs.
· Responsible for collecting, securely maintaining and reporting on for all individuals enrolled in the program.
· Communicate effectively with all team members, management, and individuals.
· Provide constructive feedback to individuals.
JOB SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Experienced in interacting with a diverse population.
· 2-4 years’ experience in employment/workforce development programs.
· Knowledge of a variety of workforce assessment and career development tools.
· Experience in case management or similar role.
· Ability to understand and assess individual needs and assist in appropriate program/resource referrals.
· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing).
· Must maintain thorough, detailed documentation and data input into MoJobs.
· Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
· Other related duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Human Services, or a related field of study and/or 3-5 years of social services or business experience.
· Must demonstrate experience working in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.
· Must demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
