Our projects range from $50,000 covered patios to $500,000+ custom homes, with an average project size of approximately $150,000. We are looking for a driven sales professional who thrives on building relationships and closing high-value construction projects.
Position Overview
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating leads, meeting with prospective clients, understanding their project goals, and guiding them through the sales process until the construction contract is signed.
This is a commission-only opportunity designed for highly motivated professionals who want unlimited earning potential without income caps.
Compensation
- 3% commission on every project you close
- Average commission per project ranges from $1,500 to $15,000+
- High-value custom home projects can generate commissions exceeding $20,000

Responsibilities
- Generate qualified residential construction leads
- Network with homeowners, real estate agents, architects, designers, investors, and developers
- Schedule and conduct in-home consultations
- Understand client goals, budgets, and project requirements
- Present EXL's construction services professionally
- Coordinate with the estimating and project management teams
- Follow up with prospective clients and maintain communication throughout the sales process
- Build long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals
- Meet monthly sales goals
Qualifications
- Previous sales experience required
- Construction, remodeling, home improvement, or real estate experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Comfortable working independently
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the DFW area
- Ability to build trust with homeowners and deliver exceptional customer service
