The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety, and get the privilege of serving delicious food to our residents at Summit Place West Assisted Living. This role requires a strong understanding of food handling practices with the benefit of serving our residents! Our goal at Summit Place West Assisted Living is to make everyday a celebration! Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Following dietary menus and recipes, honoring dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Provide assistance as a dietary aide when necessary, accommodating special dietary needs.
