We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled QC Inspector for Precision Grinding to join our team in Houston, TX. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained throughout our production processes. - Conduct thorough quality inspections of precision ground components to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Utilize advanced inspection and gauge measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, dial bore gages, and hardness testers.
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) to verify that initial production meets quality standards.
- Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality control processes.
- Engage in root cause analysis using the 5 Why method to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Conduct tolerance analysis to ensure products meet required specifications.
- Utilize Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods to assess material integrity.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate measurements and specifications.
- Collaborate with production teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality control activities using ERP software.
- Proven experience in quality inspection, preferably in a precision grinding environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices.
- Experience with advanced inspection tools and techniques, including measurement gauges and NDT.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and specifications.
- Knowledge of tolerance analysis and precision measurement techniques.
- Proficient in using ERP software for documentation and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
