American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room Technician with thoracic/vascular experience for a travel assignment in a Level I Trauma hospital OR Float Pool.

Large 1,000+ bed Level I Trauma hospital with a 56-bed OR (inpatient and outpatient) and 5 procedural rooms

Assigned to the Thoracic/Vascular team within the OR Float Pool

Adult patient population only; no pediatric cases (Children's Hospital OR is a separate unit)

Full range of case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, and lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary

12-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (days will vary based on unit need; block scheduling is not available)

Late stays required based on unit needs

36 hours per week; 13-week contract

Floating within the OR is possible, but not between facility locations

Minimum of 2 years of OR scrub technician experience required

Thoracic/vascular experience is required

Proficiency in endovascular cases required

Must be able to scrub and have documented scrub experience

Prior travel assignment experience required

NBSTSA certification required and must be on file at time of consideration

License required if applicable

Scrub and assist across a wide variety of surgical specialties including thoracic, vascular, transplant, neuro, and trauma

Must be prepared to take late stays as needed based on unit demands

The OR Float Pool serves both inpatient and outpatient surgical cases across multiple service lines

This is a high-acuity, high-volume academic medical center environment with Level I Trauma designation
