Little Sprouts Early Childhood Center, Inc. is a small family owned and operated preschool in Tonawanda that offers part time classes for children ages 2, 3 & 4 years old. We are seeking a reliable, creative and energetic assistant teacher to work alongside our lead teacher.
Class sessions are Monday-Friday, with both a morning and afternoon session each day. This is a part time position, aprroximately 24 hours per week. More information on hours/times will be discussed at the interview.
Work while your kids are in school! No weekends, no nights and no holidays. Our school follows the Kenton School District calendar for holidays and days off. Pay will be based on experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks and meals
- Tracking children's progress and reporting to parents
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with children and parents
- Providing tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities
- Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
- Maintaining a clean and tidy classroom
- Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures
- Helping children reach developmental milestones
- Collaborating with lead teacher to implement lesson plans
- Encouraging children to interact with each other to develop social skills
- Providing appropriate supervision for children at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 Year childcare experience preferred
- CPR Certification preferred
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
