Job Summary: The position supports the practice daily by performing key communication and scheduling needs for our patients. The staff members will answer all incoming calls, manage the call by transferring to the correct resource or completing the call.
Essential Duties:
· Answer all incoming calls in your assigned queues in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
· Ask proper questions to complete the task of the call, take a detailed message, or transfer the call if appropriate.
· Schedule, cancel or reschedule all established patient appointments and properly documenting the notes.
· Make outbound calls to all established patients that missed their appointment to reschedule and properly documenting the notes.
· Call all the patients to remind them of their upcoming appointments.
· Responsible for completing any patient hub tasks or messages.
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced teamwork environment.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED
· 1 year of medical office experience preferred
· Knowledge of insurance and its requirements
· Medical terminology
· Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
· Exceptional customer service skills
· Computer competency
· Type 40 wpm
· Work well in a team-oriented environment
+ NextGen/EMR experience
+ Cardiology experience
+ Bilingual a plus
