About the Role
Do you love baking but don't necessarily want a traditional 30–40 hour bakery schedule?
Francis And Bee's PETS is a growing Arizona pet treat company specializing in plant-based dog treats, and we're looking for a dependable Part-Time Baker to help us with weekly treat production.
This is a small, hands-on position of up to 5 hours per week, making it a great fit for a culinary student, experienced home baker, bakery professional looking for extra hours, or someone seeking a consistent side job.
You'll work from our commercial kitchen location in Scottsdale and help prepare and bake our established dog treat recipes.
No pet treat experience is required. We'll train the right person on our recipes and production process. What matters most to us is reliability, consistency, cleanliness and being comfortable following recipes exactly.
What You'll Do
- Prepare dough and ingredients according to established recipes and measurements
- Mix, roll, cut and prepare dog treats for baking
- Bake multiple batches efficiently during scheduled production hours
- Follow established recipes, portion sizes and production procedures consistently
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Follow proper food-handling and sanitation practices
- Wash and sanitize equipment and work areas used during production
- Help track batches and communicate any production or ingredient issues
- Work efficiently to complete weekly production goals within the scheduled shift
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable following recipes and measurements exactly
- Able to work independently once trained
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
- Comfortable standing for most of the shift
- Able to perform repetitive baking and production tasks
- Reliable transportation to our Scottsdale kitchen
- Available for a consistent weekly shift of up to 5 hours
Preferred, but not required:
- Baking, culinary or food-production experience
- Culinary school student or graduate
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen, bakery or food business
- Food handler certification
- Experience with batch production
We care more about finding someone reliable, teachable and consistent than someone with a perfect résumé.
Schedule
This is a very part-time position averaging up to 5 hours per week.
We're looking for someone who can commit to a consistent weekly production schedule. Because we're a growing small business, there may occasionally be opportunities for additional hours as production increases.
This position is ideal for someone specifically looking for a small, dependable weekly commitment rather than traditional part-time hours.
Why Join Francis And Bee's PETS?
We're a growing, woman-owned Arizona small business creating plant-based treats for dogs.
This isn't a large commercial bakery where you'll be one person on an assembly line. You'll work directly with a growing brand and play an important role in helping us increase production as we expand into more markets and retail opportunities.
For the right person, this position has the potential to grow as our production needs grow.
And yes — your job is literally baking treats for dogs.
