We’re seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly motivated Senior Operations Manager to oversee multiple studios while serving as a trusted partner to ownership.

Position Summary
The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for the overall performance, operations, and profitability of multiple Orangetheory Fitness studios. This individual will work directly with the owner to execute strategic initiatives, oversee day-to-day business operations, develop leaders, and ensure each studio consistently exceeds expectations in sales, member experience, team performance, and financial results.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who can confidently make decisions, identify opportunities for growth, and keep multiple locations running efficiently while maintaining Orangetheory’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Studio Leadership
● Oversee the daily operations of multiple Orangetheory Fitness studios.
● Ensure consistency in operations, member experience, cleanliness, and brand standards across all locations.
● Provide leadership and support to Studio Managers, Assistant Managers, Sales Associates, and Coaches.
● Travel between studio locations as needed.
Strategic Partnership with Ownership
● Serve as the owner’s primary operational partner.
● Assist in developing and executing business strategies that support long-term growth.
● Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and member satisfaction.
● Manage special projects, new initiatives, and studio expansion efforts.
● Help establish systems and processes that improve scalability as the business grows.
Financial & Business Performance
● Own studio performance metrics, including:
● Membership sales
● Net membership growth
● Member retention
● Revenue goals
● Profitability
● Payroll management
● Expense control
● Review and analyze KPIs regularly to identify trends and opportunities.
● Assist ownership with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
● Drive accountability to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual business goals.
Leadership & Team Development
● Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop Studio Managers, Sales Associates, and other staff.
● Coach leaders to improve performance and achieve individual and studio goals.
● Conduct regular performance reviews and create development plans.
● Foster a positive, high-performance culture centered around accountability, collaboration, and exceptional service.
● Lead team meetings and leadership development initiatives.
Sales & Member Experience
● Drive studio membership growth through sales leadership and community engagement.
● Coach teams on lead generation, follow-up, conversion, and retention strategies.
● Ensure every member receives an exceptional, personalized experience.
● Resolve escalated member concerns professionally and promptly.
● Build relationships with local businesses and community organizations to increase brand awareness.
Operational Excellence
● Ensure compliance with Orangetheory brand standards and operating procedures.
● Oversee scheduling, staffing, inventory, vendor relationships, and facility maintenance.
● Monitor payroll and labor costs while maintaining outstanding service.
● Ensure all systems and technology platforms are being utilized effectively.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree preferred.
● 5+ years of leadership experience in fitness, hospitality, retail, franchising, or multi-unit operations.
● Experience managing multiple locations or district-level operations preferred.
● Proven success leading high-performing sales and operations teams.
● Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, payroll, expense management, and KPI analysis.
● Experience recruiting, hiring, and developing leaders.
● Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
● Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution abilities.
● Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
● Comfortable making independent decisions and leading through change.
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management software.
