Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our professional cleaning team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors across our Mitchell International Airport location. The ideal candidate will possess strong janitorial and custodial experience, with expertise in floor care techniques such as carpet cleaning, buffing, and environmental services. Your efforts will ensure a safe, hygienic, and visually appealing environment for our clients. THIS IS A 3RD SHIFT (10:00PM-6:30AM) POSITION!
Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of floors using appropriate methods including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and buffing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct carpet cleaning procedures utilizing specialized equipment to remove stains, dirt, and allergens.
- Apply floor care treatments such as waxing or polishing to enhance durability and appearance.
- Maintain and operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Follow established protocols for environmental services to promote sustainability and eco-friendly practices.
- Assist with janitorial tasks including trash removal, restroom sanitation, and surface disinfecting.
- Monitor supplies and notify management when restocking is necessary to ensure continuous operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles with a focus on floor care in commercial settings REQUIRED.
- Knowledge of various cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, buffing, waxing, and polishing REQUIRED.
- Familiarity with environmental service standards and sustainable cleaning practices.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report issues promptly.

Pay: $17.50 per hour
