About the Role
As a Wound Care Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating wound care treatments for patients with acute and chronic wounds. Your expertise will enable you to develop individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient, promoting optimal healing and minimizing the risk of complications. You will also collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of our patients.
Responsibilities
Assess patients with acute and chronic wounds, identifying areas of risk and opportunity for improvement
Develop and implement individualized care plans that address wound healing, pain management, and prevention of complications
Conduct wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement, and other interventions as needed
Monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize outcomes
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance wound care outcomes and patient satisfaction
Requirements
Current RN license with the State of Texas
Minimum 0 years of experience in wound care or related field
Strong knowledge of wound care principles, practices, and protocols
Excellent clinical skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
