Job Description
We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable caregivers to join our team as Personal Care Assistants (PCA). While this role requires flexibility and availability on most days, it is also deeply rewarding. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting clients in their daily lives and helping them maintain their independence.
If you are patient, friendly, and have strong communication skills, we would love to hear from you. This role involves following care plans, assisting with a variety of tasks, and providing both physical and emotional support to clients.
Responsibilities
- Remind clients to take prescribed medications
- Assist with mobility and ambulation within the home
- Provide support with personal care and hygiene
- Help plan and prepare meals, with client involvement when possible
- Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Report any unusual changes or incidents
- Respond promptly and responsibly in emergency situations
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a PCA preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification required
- Valid TB test required
- Knowledge of basic housekeeping and meal preparation, including dietary considerations
- Commitment to following health and safety guidelines
- Compassionate, respectful, and dependable
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High ethical standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
