EFDA Certified Dental Assistant
Our single dentist office is looking to hire an EFDA dental assistant for an immediate opening. Our office is open for patients Mondays 11-6, Tuesday 7-3, Wednesdays 9-5, Thursdays and Fridays 7-3 (Fridays are open every other).
We are looking for FULL OR PART TIME!!!
We are looking for an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team, where your skills will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. We are looking for an EFDA to place restorations and other chairside duties of an EFDA. You will need to step in and help out however is needed in a dental assistant role occasionally to help schedule run smoothly. Our office has one dental assistant that will do the majority of dentist chairside assisting and the EFDA hire will primarily be asked to work independently.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and terminology.
- Certification or licensure as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or equivalent credential.
- Proficiency in EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for accurate medical documentation.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry, including pediatric-specific procedures and communication strategies.
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with patients, staff, and external healthcare providers.
