Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Framing Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for constructing the structural framework of buildings, ensuring precision and quality at every step. Your expertise in framing, metal building erection, concrete forming, and related carpentry skills will contribute directly to the successful completion of diverse construction projects. Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install framing components using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications.
- Framing, Dry Wall, Finishing Carpentry Experience Required.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately to guide framing activities.
- Erect metal buildings and steel structures with precision, ensuring alignment and stability.
- Perform concrete forming and rebar installation to prepare for concrete pouring and finishing.
- Execute masonry tasks such as stucco, siding, plastering, and trim carpentry to enhance building aesthetics.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for site preparation, material handling, and structural assembly.
- Conduct dimensional measurements and utilize tape measures proficiently to ensure accurate framing and construction.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to adhere to safety standards, project timelines, and quality expectations.
- Assist in remodeling projects by installing siding, drywall, or other finishing elements as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite while following all safety protocols throughout each phase of construction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on frame carpentry, metal building erection, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other carpentry equipment effectively.
- Experience with concrete forming, rebar installation, concrete finishing, masonry, welding, and siding is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces when required.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise framing work.
- Familiarity with construction plans involving metal stud framing and dimensional measurements.
- Knowledge of remodeling techniques including trim carpentry and plastering will be an advantage.
- Valid construction site experience with a focus on safety practices; OSHA certification is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret technical instructions clearly.
