The short version
Every morning, a client in Mesquite needs their line fully staffed and running by the time the shift starts. You are the person on the ground who makes that happen. When someone does not show, you tend to know before the client asks, and you are already working the fix. When a new group starts, you are the reason their first day goes smoothly. You are the face our client sees and the person our associates trust. This is a good fit for someone who likes being where the action is and would rather head off a problem at 6 AM than explain one at noon.
Who we are
Midway Staffing is one of the fastest-growing light industrial staffing firms in the country, placing people into manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, production, and skilled trades roles across more than 30 states. We make hundreds of placements a week, and every one of them depends on people like you keeping the client site steady. The way we work comes down to three things: doing what we say we will do, pushing through the hard days, and backing each other up.
What the day actually looks like
You will spend most of your time on the floor, not behind a desk. Mornings start with attendance: who is here, who is not, and what you are going to do about the gaps before the shift ramps up. You will greet new hires, walk them through their first day, and check in with associates who have been around a while so you catch the small frustrations before they turn into a no-show. You will handle timecards and keep your documentation clean, because when a payroll question or an incident comes up three weeks later, the notes you took today are what settle it.
Some of the job is routine. A lot of it is not. A line goes down, three people call off, a client supervisor is frustrated, an associate is having a rough week. Your job is to stay level, figure out what matters first, and keep things moving. When something is genuinely above your pay grade you will loop in your Branch Manager, but a good chunk of the day is you making the call and owning the result.
What you will own
You are the primary point of contact at the site, which means the client's confidence in Midway and the associates' experience working there both sit with you. Attendance, coverage, onboarding, day-to-day problem solving, and the paperwork that keeps everything compliant are yours to run. You will also help build the pipeline: representing Midway at hiring events, reviewing candidates, and working with recruiters and branch leadership so the site never runs thin. The people who do best in this role tend to spot a staffing problem forming a week out and quietly get ahead of it, rather than scrambling once it lands.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field is a plus
- 1 to 2 years in staffing, recruiting, HR, or administrative support (agency experience is a bonus)
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Comfort talking to anyone, from a plant manager to a first-day associate, and the ability to hold a firm but fair line when a conversation gets uncomfortable
- Real organization and follow-through; you are the type who actually closes the loop
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, plus some hands-on experience with an ATS
- Comfortable running phone and in-person interviews with an eye for detail
What you get
- Weekly pay at $22.50/hour, plus quarterly bonus potential and overtime
- Paid, hands-on training so you are set up before you are thrown in
- Real room to grow. We promote from within, and this role is a launch point, not a ceiling
- Medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, and 401(k) for eligible employees
Sound like you?
If you read the part about a typical morning and thought that sounds like a good day rather than a stressful one, we should talk. Apply and let's start a conversation.
