Job Summary
NAR is seeking a motivated and reliable Commis Cook (Cook 3) to join our kitchen team. This entry-level culinary position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in a professional restaurant environment while learning NAR's standards for food quality, preparation, and kitchen operations.
The Commis Cook supports daily food preparation, maintains cleanliness and organization, and assists the kitchen team in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and menu items according to NAR recipes and standards.
Complete daily mise en place and assist with food production.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and storage areas.
Assist with opening and closing duties.
Support inventory counts, product rotation, and waste control procedures.
Work collaboratively with kitchen, service, and support teams.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and kitchen standards.
Qualifications
Required
Passion for cooking and hospitality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.
Preferred
Previous kitchen experience is a plus but not required.
Culinary school education or training is a plus.
