General Purpose of Position
Responsible for all meal preparation and general maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen area during your shift.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation of meals to insure nutrition and appearance.
- Maintains cleanliness of kitchen area, dining room, food storage areas and staff dining room including baseboard inspection every three days in kitchen.
- Handles placement and storage of donated food products.
- Requests resident assistance with serving meals as needed.
- Trains and manages resident kitchen workers.
- Shows hospitality and supervision to all outside volunteers.
- Makes sure staff dining room is clean and food is removed before your shift ends.
- Makes sure no food in kitchen, walk-ins or Convenience Store is more than 5 days old
- Remains subordinate to Food Service Director.
