Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and quality specifications
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders and exceptional service during busy hours
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new ideas and ensuring consistency in dish presentation
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining proper storage practices
- Participate in catering events or special functions as needed, ensuring all food is prepared and served at the highest standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food handling and safety protocols
- Proven culinary experience in restaurant or fine dining settings, showcasing strong knife skills and meal preparation abilities
- Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety regulations, catering procedures, and serving techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
- Experience with menu planning and food presentation that enhances guest satisfaction
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen operations and guest service
