Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Pizza cook to join our culinary team and lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong background in food service, with experience in the food industry, culinary techniques, and leading kitchen operations. This role involves preparing high-quality pizzas and supporting overall restaurant operations to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure freshness and variety
- Maintain proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
- Support food preparation tasks such as dough making, chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure timely delivery of orders to customers or dining areas
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of food quality and presentation
- Assist with catering events or special functions as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service is preferred
- Previous experience in pizza restaurant kitchen as a person leading others in kitchen.
- Familiarity with dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety protocols
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in culinary techniques
- Experience in fine dining or the food industry is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen
