Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, particularly in mechanical logging. This role involves operating various types of machinery to support the harvesting of timber. The Equipment Operator will work closely with the logging team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely. Starting wages based on experience.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as fellerbunchers, forwarders, harvesters and/or skidders.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery.
Requirements
- Experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly logging equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues.
- Ability to operate loaders and other heavy machinery effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed for project demands.
