Responsibilities
- Operate front loader trucks & roll-off trucks with precision and safety in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) and state transportation regulations
- Load, unload, and transport waste materials using manual or mechanical methods, including front-end loaders and flatbed configurations
- Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to verify mechanical condition, especially focusing on air brake systems and other critical components
- Safely load waste containers onto trucks, utilizing heavy lifting techniques and equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, and route details while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, team members, and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries efficiently
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for air brakes and hazardous materials where applicable
- Proven experience driving heavy-duty trucks such as front loaders & roll-off trucks in municipal or solid waste management settings
- Solid knowledge of mechanical systems related to garbage trucks
- Strong understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, state transportation laws, and hazardous materials handling procedures
- Demonstrated defensive driving skills with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing waste containers or equipment
- Experience with manual transmissions is preferred but not required; training can be provided for qualified candidates
- Excellent driving skills combined with a commitment to safety standards in commercial driving environments

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
