A leading provider of skilled nursing care, seeks a Full-Time, Part Time and Per Dien Registered Nurse Unit Manager to join our team.
The RN Unit Manager directs patient care by performing nursing assessments and collaborating with the nursing team and other disciplines, patients and families to develop effective plans of care.
The RN Unit Manager will be responsible for the overall operation and quality of care for the residents on the assigned unit.
Qualifications:
Communicates patient information with assigned staff during and between shifts
Performs nursing functions and provides care within scope of practice
Coordinates and delegates care as appropriate
Collaborates with physicians in rounds and examination of patients, as needed
Must be able to follow all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintain established standards of practice set forth by the facility's administration and the Nursing Policies and Procedures.
Ability to read, write and comprehend English; the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Interest in the nursing needs of aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both.
Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers and facility staff in the performance of duties.
Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position/assignment. on call, as necessary.
Minimum one year of education or experience in geriatric nursing or rehabilitation preferred.
Knowledge of nursing theory and practice, including the administration of medications
CPR certified
State of CT RN License
