What You’ll Do:
As a Veterinary Ophthalmology Technician, you'll support our board-certified veterinary ophthalmologists and play a key role in:
- Assisting with comprehensive eye exams and diagnostic testing (Schirmer tear tests, fluorescein staining, tonometry, ocular ultrasound, ERG, etc.)
- Preparing for and assisting in microsurgical ophthalmic procedures
- Monitoring anesthesia and post-operative recovery
- Managing and maintaining specialized ophthalmic instruments and equipment
- Communicating with clients regarding medication administration and post-op care
- Maintaining detailed patient records and assisting with case management
Qualifications:
- Licensed/Registered Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, CVT) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience; ophthalmology or specialty experience preferred
- Proficiency with handling and restraining animals for ophthalmic procedures
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and team collaboration skills
