Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Shop Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and farm machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and hydraulic system servicing to prevent breakdowns.
- Fabricate parts and components using welding, soldering, power tools, and hand tools to meet specific repair needs or custom modifications.
- Repair and maintain automotive systems including transmissions, air brakes, HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and diesel engines.
- Use heavy equipment operation skills to lift and move large components safely during repairs or assembly tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and service bulletins to accurately diagnose issues.
- Ensure all repairs comply with safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic with dealership or industrial equipment background preferred.
- Strong knowledge of heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, and transmissions.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other repair tools.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues effectively.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance including tire service, brake repair, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with strong customer service skills to communicate repair needs clearly.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
