Duties
- Handle incoming phone calls from patients, providers, and insurance companies with courteous and clear communication.
- Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Collect and verify patient information accurately through data entry and maintain detailed records in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Provide information about health insurance plans, benefits, and coverage options to clients seeking assistance.
- Assist with medical office administrative tasks such as documentation, message taking, and follow-up coordination.
- Use medical terminology effectively to clarify patient inquiries and relay information to healthcare staff.
- Maintain phone call management protocols by practicing excellent phone etiquette and active listening skills.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in client services or customer support within a healthcare or medical office setting.
- Strong computer skills with familiarity in Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) management systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse populations.
- Knowledge of health insurance processes, medical terminology, and healthcare compliance standards.
- Demonstrated ability to handle phone call management efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Technical proficiency with data entry, health information systems, and general office software.
- Previous experience in medical office operations or health insurance knowledge is preferred but not required.
